The Russian word «экспромпт» (eksprompt) comes from the Latin ex promptu (“from readiness”) and is used almost exactly like “impromptu” in English — but with a slightly different flavor. Экспромпт means: Something done spontaneously, without preparation, but skillfully and confidently.It emphasizes quick thinking and natural ability, not sloppiness.
